Contact UsInsurance Valuations
The protection of assets is the primary reason for having a valuation for insurance. Most insurance companies nominate a maximum amount payable in the event of a claim unless the item is specified within the policy. When the item is specified within the policy the client can be assured that they will be accurately recompensed. Therefore it is essential that the value of specified items be substantiated by an up to date professional valuation to facilitate settlement.
Probate Valuations
Miller Fine Art can value the contents of a property for Estate Purposes, thus assisting with the fair division of assets. We are also able to offer guidance with regard to the sale of items that no longer wish to be retained.
Contact UsMiller Fine Art is able to offer independent advice to Cultural Institutions with regard to their collections in order to meet accounting standard requirements. Miller Fine Art representatives have carried out vauations for institutions under the guidelines of Australian Accounting Standards AASB 116 & AASB 13 (and related standards). The valuation methodology used for large collections is normally a sampling technique together with the identification of the most valuable items within the collection, ‘the icons’ , identified above a certain value threshold as defined by the institution.
Helen is an Approved Valuer under the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program and is a member of the Australian Museums and Galleries Association.
